iPhone or Blackberry

The question older than time itself.

Well, if you exclude 'what came first the chicken or the egg'.... that one is way too mind baffling. (the chicken had to come first to give birth to the egg, but how was that chicken even born? It needed an egg... SO DID THE EGG COME FIRST?! Even if you believe God just placed everything on the earth, which one was here first?!?!?!?)

ANYWAY, I have an advantage in this argument.

I have experienced the best of both worlds. Hannah Montana style.

Grabbed your attention didn't I? Either with the bad pun or the comment.

So, I started off (as most people do in this situation) with a Blackberry.

There will always be a place in my heart for my blackberry. I had a beautiful bold (personally I'm not too fond of the other ones) and they are good phones.

Considering, Apple was a massive company before the iPhone, Blackberry emerged solely on the phone. I'm sure avid Mac users just bought an iPhone because of the Apple logo.

It is amazingly and successfully addictive with BBM being a massive part of it, whilst business wise (not that I would know..) but it is so much easier to access documents and information on a Blackberry.

So now, the iPhone. This crazy device which can do everything which you could ever dream of, such massager and dream translator I mention in 'Dreams and Thinking', and is not nearly as addictive as the Blackberry.

It can do a lot more things app wise, and is a lot better for the more artistic of us.

Oh and don't listen to the 'draining battery' rumours.

So, overall. Blackberry is definitely better for a business man or woman, whilst the iPhone has amazing photography and arts apps.

As a teenager, if you want to communicate with a lot of your friends, and don't mind losing your mind a bit with the flashing red light indicating a new message, go for the Blackberry, but be warned. Your family, friends and yourself will get pissed off with you with the amount of time you spend with your new best friend. It isn't call Crackberry for nothing! All the teens left, iPhone iPhone iPhone. The days of fun I have when bored are endless and it isn't nearly as addictive but still as fun.

Hope that helps anyone making a decision to change!

And for anyone deciding between them, my opinion? Neither.

If you want to be more individual and actually have a functioning brain, get a brick phone. Cause once you get one of the two you will never be able to go back. EVER.

Have fun phoning!

Dreams

Maybe some of you can relate, or maybe I'm just a freak, but I am soo fascinated by dreams.

I read a book which mentioned how dreams are a way of your subconscious trying to talk to you and I thought that was so cool and looked into dreams a bit.

It was also strange because before this, my friends found a sudden obsession with dream dictionaries so I looked into it on my iPhone (which obviously has everything... and I mean EVERYTHING. I found an app which even massages you. Say whaat?)

So anyway, I found an app called iDream where you can record dreams and it highlights key words and kind of 'translates' them for you.

For example, did you know if you dream about rodents, it foretells trouble through active but hidden jealousy UNLESS it was a white rodent, meaning you will be protected by friendly forces.

So I don't know how much I believe, but it's still fun and there's no harm!

For those of you without the pleasure of an iPhone (if its a blackberry..grr!) I also found http://www.dreammoods.com/ where you can search individual words.

And if that didn't sell it for you, apparently, if you write down your dreams you remember in the morning, eventually you can get power over your dreams! Cool, right!

Apparently, my brother can 'edit his dreams' and pause and rewind.

But to be honest I think that's almost as untruthful as some of the dream interpretations.

Your call!

Blogging and Thinking

Blogging is, I've decided, one of my favourite things to do.

Sitting down with a warm jumper on with a cup of warm tea on a rainy day while typing utter randomness is such a cool feeling.

And unlike a history essay, you actually know what your typing about. It also makes you feel like Jenna Hamilton from awkward. and AMAZING tv show which you should all watch, and it is so cool writing fast, you really feel like a pro!

Task for you all! Open a word document or something and just type your thoughts.

Better yet use the thoughts room which is an amazing website to let out your thoughts.

As you type the words they drift away, the idea being that no one judges you in the thoughts room.  An amazing place to let go.

However, my personal favourite link on the website is the Quiet Place.

I'm not going to give this one away, click here to look at it yourself.

It's not scary, its very relaxing and peaceful.

Not to sound like a hippie or anything.

Check them both out! thequietplaceproject.com

Peace out fellow hippies!

Wanna get fit?

The constant battle between being skinny and eating like a big dwells upon us, and being fit or dying of a heart attack will soon be the next option.

What to do what to do?

Well those of you who think stop eating is the healthy answer, WRONG!

In fact if you do think that, that is extremely worrying for your future life of what you think is wrong or right so I suggest seeing some sort of psychologist.

So, for those of you who still remain, what do we do?

As I mentioned in my previous post, when I passed getting fit, I mentioned trading chocolate biscuits or something you eat a lot for a healthy option which you love, such as apples or strawberries, which is a start for healthy eating.

However, those of you who'd like to exercise, will want to know what else.

Taking a jog or a walk is amazing, and cycling is also wonderful for your body! If you're in London (and I think Paris have a similar system) take advantage of the Barclay's Bike System, which I do quite a lot.

Something at home which I've started to do is this AMAZING channel on youtube, which honestly is so good, I feel like I'm spoiling my little secret in getting fit...

So can you keep a secret?

POP Pilates is a channel made by an over excited American just to top everything off, with funky music throughout her work outs.

The pain is excruciating but this woman is obviously very qualified and recieves all positive comments of people talking about how

"like I can like literallyyyyyyy feel my butt toning and its like totallyyyyy rounder in my jeans lol"

And if that isn't good enough for you, I don't know what is.

Here is a video to show a demo of Cassey and her over enthusiasm.

And in true Cassey fashion, remember

TRAIN LIKE A BEAST, LOOK LIKE A BEAUTY

If that doesn't work click on this link.

And her channel is here.

Smiling

Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.

I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin.
When he smiled I realized
I'd passed it on to him.

I thought about that smile,
then I realized its worth.
A single smile, just like mine
could travel round the earth.

So, if you feel a smile begin,
don't leave it undetected.
Let's start an epidemic quick,
and get the world infected!

A lovely poem, which is food for thought!

Next time you see a not too dodgy stranger, smile! And wonder how far that smile gets :)

What to do if you're bored

Summer expectations. The idea of fun, happiness, teen years and beaches all come flashing before your eyes.

Summer reality. Computer, tumblr, hoping your friends come back from holiday and missing school... (maybe that ones just me..)

Overall, if you're reading this, I'd say 93.76% of you are bored.

On the other hand, 90% of statistics aren't true...

So what do we do?

  1. Go out and get some sort of summer job, some extra money is always appreciated after all.

For those of you anywhere else in the world this is ideal, go work at a coffee shop or something, a great way to force yourself out of the house.

For those of us living in the UK, if you've attempted this, you'll understand how difficult it is to come across a job like this.

So why not do something different? Helping at a charity shop, despite not getting money, is a great way to get a similar experience and feeling really good about yourself. Go call up your local charity shop and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to accommodate you.

    2. Get fit.

No, I don't mean go starve yourself or over exercise but I mean once in a while get up half an hour earlier than usual and go have a jog in the park or something.

Take a sport.

Heck, even try eat healthily.

I don't know about you, but this is absolutely impossible for me. So start off slowly, trade that cupcake for some sort of fruit you love (for me it's apples.. yum) and you'll get yourself into a routine, still eating junk, but a moderate amount.

    3. Start a blog!

I love love love writing this, even though I've only had it for a day, maybe less since google deactivated it as a spam blog! But none the less its a great way to channel your creativity and who knows, one day it could lead to you writing a magazine article!

   4. Paint your nails.

When I say I never painted my nails, I mean I NEVER painted my nails and they remained all gross and unloved. Now with a bit of free time, as I'm typing this I'm looking at an array of rainbow colours as my nails are painted in beautiful pastel colours. They look so pretty!

   5. Stumbleupon.com

If after my other suggestions you really can still not be bothered to lift your bum from your seat, don't fret, Tiger's here to help!

Stumbleupon is an amazing website for when boredom kicks in. Its free, simple and easy to use (WOW can you believe I'm not advertising it?!) and you sign up and tick boxes of your interests and it shows you the craziest, coolest and sometimes amazingly eye opening websites EVER. Here are a few of my favourites to get you started..

I nearly started crying when I saw this one..

Hope this unboredoms all of you!

Let the Hunger Games begin!

4.5/5 STARS

Having these books on holiday was literally a God send.

I'm sure many of you are familiar with the movie, but I made a vow to not watch it unless I had read the book first.

And then of course GCSEs, and you can tell how that went from my blog post about that...

So overall, no time to read. Sad face.

However, I leapt straight into the books when I first had the chance.

And goodness gracious me, I couldn't put them down.

Suzanne Collins writes the books amazingly considering its mostly action. The way she writes is very clear and engaging and you really will not be able to put it down.

The book is part of a trilogy, which I've read two of, and the second one does not disappoint.

So go read the Hunger Games, which will even be appealing if you have seen the movie with Josh Hutcherson..... <3

Misty Miller

Everyone put down what your doing and LISTEN TO THIS.

This girl has possibly the most amazing voice in the world.

Whether you're into rock or electronic you will not be able to NOT appreciate this girl, whose voice literally sounds like an angel.

And if you're already into folksy ukelele style music, boy are you in for a treat.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let your socks be blown off by the beautiful voice of Misty Miller.

If that doesn't work, click here.

And if you like, also check out 'Remember' also by Misty Miller.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I once had the pleasure of being embarrassed fully when I asked this to my teacher.

In my defence, I was about 9.... or 10.. or 11...

But alas, it is no longer my teacher who I've been asking the question to. The tables have turned and now the teachers are asking us.

And perhaps, what is even more scary, is unlike Mrs Harris, we can't laugh it off. We are required to provide dead serious answers (something I am generally very bad at). And those of you in the UK will understand that this comes early.

For the rest of you let me explain. No, I'm not insulting you nor calling the UK superior but might actually be criticising it.

Here we have GCSEs which mean you have to decide what subjects you do and what subjects you drop - FOREVER.

And though the idea of no longer translating Latin is amazing, there is a slight default.

Should you drop chemistry, later to find out you may want to be a doctor, the option is almost impossible to you.

These 10 subjects we chose then get dropped down to 4 called A-levels, and here if you pick the wrong choice, you are truly screwed.

So if you are still unsure of what you want to be and have a few years or months still to choose, I'd say get in there early.

Look around at courses, at subjects you like and get ahead cause these next few years are going to fly by like there's no tomorrow.

...Not to scare you or anything...

The Blogmosphere

Did I say it right? No, I think it might be Blogsphere but it looks better as Blogmosphere...

Either way, welcome to the Blogmosphere!

...Or do I need to welcome myself to the Blogmosphere?

It may be hard to believe, but I am new to blogging.

To those of you who have stumbled across my blog, please, stay a while. Kick your feet up, have a cup of tea and most importantly sit back and let me do the rambling.

There's not much here at the moment I know, but keep track of me because I'm going to be writing away all your worries and talking about the random, sometimes funny and nerve wrecking things that cross all of our minds.

Ciao for now my cyber friends!
